PhD Student in Computer Science
Hello! I am Killian Bakong, a PhD student in computer science in the Argo team at Inria Paris. I am currently working under the supervision of Kevin Scaman and Laurent Massoulié.
Prior to starting my PhD, I obtained the master's degree MVA (Mathématiques, Vision, Apprentissage) from ENS Paris-Saclay, as well as an engineering degree from École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées.
My research focuses on optimization and deep learning theory, particularly in distributed settings. I study how the decentralization of computing nodes affects learning from both theoretical and empirical perspectives. My goal is to leverage the characteristics of such distributed setups to improve training efficiency.
